I’m Yüksel Şişe, from Istanbul. Two threads run through everything on this site: software and tango.
I’ve been DJing traditional tango since 2008, at milongas, festivals, and marathons – the Istanbul Tango Festival, the Eskişehir Tango Marathon, Bien de Maraton, and La Madrugada Marathon & Festival & Cup, where I was the official DJ of the Owl Cup tango championship and the festival milonga. My ground is the Golden Age: Pugliese, Caló, Di Sarli, D’Arienzo, Canaro, Troilo, Donato, Tanturi, Fresedo.
As a developer I build the tools I wished existed. Most of them are for tango, and all of them are small, honest, and subscription-free. The MyLonga family is the current center of that work.
In 2012 I started Tanda of the Week, which continues weekly on Patreon.
