Hello. For Week 5, I prepared a tango tanda built around duet recordings from the 1950s, drawn from different orchestras yet fitting together remarkably well. The result is a slightly unusual but very tasteful mix: four orchestras and eight different voices sharing the same musical spirit.
When listening closely to 1950s duet tangos, a clear picture emerges. The list below includes only recordings that truly work within a tanda context. Of course, many more duets exist from this period, but not all of them are equally suitable for the dance floor.
